Barcelona defeated Manchester City 2-0 in an incredible match between two titans of the champions league. Barcelona is moving up to quarter finals and is awaiting their next opponent. They defeated Man City with a goal from Messi and Alves.

Barcelona defeated Manchester City in a battle of titans this game was intense. Barcelona got ahead when Messi was fouled by Demichelis and given a penalty. Then Alves the right back scored to seal the deal and put them in the quarter finals of the champions league now they await their next opponents.

Cristiano Ronaldo sanctioned for three matches
Cristiano Ronaldo the Real Madrid player was told to walk off the football field with a red card after he smacked Ander Iturraspe the Athletic player. That was a one match ban but his gesture as was he leaving the field is what caused him two extra bans. The RFEF decided to give him two more bans for his lack of sportsmanship.

Real Madrid came short in their game against Athletic. Real Madrid who arguably had a better chance to win this was stopped in its tracks and the expulsion of Cristiano Ronaldo didnt help their case. Jess put some life into the game by scoring the first goal and Athletic retaliated with a goal from Gomez.
